Run Your One Rate and Review Website Have you ever considered running a review website? Maybe a local restaurant review or a review of local bars or bsinesses? Letting vistors write reviews and rate the businesses? The question is how and whre do you look for the website to do that? That is a question we asked ourselves and could not find the answer. Without being able to write programs of buy software and modify it, we could not find a viable solution for people to do that. So of course we create programming to allow anyone to build their own rate and review website. Simple configuration and advanced settings allow the novice or an experienced developer to quickly set up and manage a site to handle visitor reviews. Having a Toll Free Support Number January 7 2011
Just the other day I saw a company bashing other hosts for not having a toll free support number. I guess when you are on the bottom you will bash anyone for anything you can ge your hands around. But this hit me hard because we do not have a toll free number for our clients so I wanted to explain why. We do not hae a toll free suport number because it is just too expensive. We certainly could if we were charging $40 n hour for support like Yahoo or $200 a month for a shopping cart like Volusion.com. A toll free number costs about $6 an hour for US calls and with the average user requiring more than 1.5 hours of support each month that is as much as we charge for hosting. Getting on top of Google January 7 2011
Everyone wants to know how to get to the number one position on google. If I get less than 50 calls a week asking that question it is a slow week. Of course I tell everyone, we are a hosting company and we do not have any control over where you appear in the search engines. That is completely up to you and your responsibility to manage. But everyone thinks there is a magical button to push, add a few keywords and people will now find you under those keywords. As a matter of fact a lady last week called and was completely surprised when I told her that her 3 day old website was not in google yet and that it was unlikely anyone would find her for her desired keywords. Updating the Blog program January 6 2011
I started this blog a few weeks ago on BumbleBeeWorks.com to create a library of information about our business and to help people decide on what hosting company is best for their business and website. As I began to use the blog I found that it was living up to it's name, the simple blog. While it was very simple to use and build content fast, it needed a few more things to make it more search engine and developer friendly. For example, we added "share this" icons from a default account and there was no way to change that or even remove it.
